Yorkshire-based design agency RPA has landed two new clients and revealed details of expansion plans at its Saltaire base.

RPA's new clients are Hanson Green, an independent search firm specialising in non-executive directorships, and Weston-super-Mare's Click Spares, which provides a furniture and other spare parts product service for Argos, Tesco and Sainsbury's.

In addition, the agency has announced the launch of a new technical division, RPA Code, in response to "growing demand for design expertise in conjunction with technology".

RPA Code handles the technical aspects of any projects that require interactivity - from intranets, extranets and CRM systems to online data-gathering market research questionnaires, forums, and web 2.0 components. Its biggest client win to date is Orange Mobile.

RPA has also appointed Robin Snook as business development manager and Paul Burley as senior designer, taking its total number of staff to eight.

For the past four years Snook has been running his own sales and marketing consultancy, Snookism, and prior to that he was sales director for the direct mail division of Williams Lee, the printers.

Burley has eight years' worth of commercial design experience, having worked for clients including BBC Worldwide, Royal Doulton and DFS. He formerly worked as a designer for Marvel Comics and Panini Publishing in London.

To accommodate its growing team, RPA recently moved from its old base in Ilkley to larger premises in Saltaire. The agency has also re-launched its website.

RPA managing director, Rob Pratt (pictured front, centre), who founded the agency 10 years ago, said: "I’m excited to be in the place we are now. We spent the first five years steadily developing, the second five slotting it all into place and investing left right and centre.

"We now hope to spend the next five growing even faster and starting to make a noise about what we do."
