London celebrity hangout the Hawley Arms has launched a new website created by Leeds-based digital agency Netstep.

The hipster pub – frequented by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Kate Moss and Pete Doherty - was devastated by the Camden Market fire last February and the new website coincides with its recent reopening.

As well as listing news and events, the site will encourage fans of the pub to contribute to a dedicated blog, join its already 800-strong fanclub on Facebook and point them towards the famed boozer's MySpace page.

Ruth Mottram, landlady at the Hawley Arms, said: “To celebrate the reopening of the Hawley Arms we are giving ourselves an online home. We want to ensure our regulars can keep up with news and events when they’re not in the pub.”

Richard Pratt, account director at Netstep, added: “As well as the new site, we are talking to the Hawley Arms about further activity including an online pub quiz and a members area. This is an excellent project for Netstep and it’s definitely a lot of fun exploring all the possibilities.”

Netstep will also create a website for the Hawley Arms's sister pub and gig venue the Wilmington Arms.
