Summerhall takeover deal falls through
Up to 135 staff made redundant after Summerhall takeover deal fails to materialise
Shortly before Christmas staff at the print company Summerhall Press believed that their jobs had been saved when Stewarts announced that they were to acquire the trading and assets of the Summerhall business.
However, for reasons which are unknown at present, the deal foundered and Summerhall was put into administration, with receivers French Duncan being appointed.
It is understood that staff at Summerhall have not been paid for December and the failure of the deal will result in up to 135 redundancies.
Companies with stock held at Summerhall have been urged to contact the receiver as soon as possible to retrieve their stock.
