Gala Bingo looks to Glasgow agency for marketing push in 2009

It is understood that up to four agencies pitched for the opportunity to develop the campaign. Since 2004 the number of online bingo sites has exploded from 17 to 243 today, which makes it one of the most competitive areas in the digital arena. In the last year alone the number of players in the UK has doubled to 500,000, making the industry worth an estimated £650m. Speaking of the increased activity with Gala, Frame's managing director, Keith Bolton, said: "Frame has long had an association with Gala so we are particularly pleased to have been awarded this new campaign. "The online bingo market is an exciting and extremely competitive market and we are producing a campaign that keeps Gala where it belongs - at the top of the category. Our expertise at making key messages work hard in all types of media, including online, helped us win this project." Clive Cottrell, head of marketing, at Gala, said: "We are delighted to be continuing our successful partnership with Frame, we have a proven track record of success with the agency and we are tremendously excited about the prospect of this new campaign."
