Manchester’s Citypress has been appointed by Brabners Chaffe Street LLP, one of the UK’s top 100 law firms.

Brabners Chaffe Street, which has offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Preston, employs over 350 staff, including more than 60 partners, and has a turnover of £31m.

It provides a full range of legal services to the mid corporate sector, specialised services to PLCs, institutions and larger corporates, and private client services to business owners and other high net worth individuals.

Citypress secured the brief following a four-way pitch.

Citypress director Martin Currie said: “Although it’s headquartered in the North West, Brabners Chaffe Street is home to some of the legal sector’s leading authorities with major strengths across a broad range of commercial and private client practice areas.

“We need to put that quality and breadth of expertise – and the success stories it generates – on a national stage, as well as regional.

He added: “There’s also a tremendous energy and enthusiasm right across the practice teams. We’ll be tapping into that culture to help the firm cut through the usual background noise of contract wins and vanilla advice pieces to generate better quality, better targeted profile.”

Michael Brabner, managing partner at Brabners Chaffe Street, said: “The firm has reached a point where it needs UK-wide support to accurately reflect its strengths. We are a market leader across our core commercial practice areas and, now more than ever, the right type of profile is critical to our continued growth.”
