The Scottish Magazine Awards 2008 winners announced
Last night saw the announcement of winners for 2008’s Scottish Magazine Awards, with Clash magazine scooping the Magazine of the Year prize.
Overall Magazine of the Year went to Clash magazine, with the four year old magazine also winning Consumer Magazine of the Year.
Best Magazine – Small Publishing Company was taken home by Fusion Flowers and Business & Professional Magazine of the Year was won by Times Educational Supplement Scotland.
Think Scotland had a successful night scooping Member Magazine of the Year for Tree News; Best Magazine Design: Business & Professional for WDCS (Whale & Dolphin Conservation Society); and Publisher of the Year, which went to its director John Innes.
First Launched in 2003, the Scottish Magazine Awards are given for work originally published in Scotland, or for work published outside Scotland but which addresses the Scottish market.
A panel of judges selected a shortlist of 87 from entries from over 35 publishing companies. A total of 19 awards were presented on the night. The full list of winners is as follows:
