Retail marketing specialist Matthew Buckley has joined Leeds based agency Purebrand Creative Communications as it looks to build on its knowledge of the retail sector.

Buckley has worked in partnership with the agency before on projects with B&Q, Focus and Debenhams and has now agreed to join Purebrand as its consumer marketing manager where he will develop its retail client base and broaden the agency’s offering in the sector.

Simon Ryan, managing director of Purebrand explained "Retailers have typically looked to large agencies for creative services both above and below the line. However times are changing and I firmly believe that with the broad range of experience we have at Purebrand and the talented creative team we have developed in recent years, we can offer effective solutions with added value to help marketing budgets stretch a little further in this economic climate, which is affecting the retail sector more than most.”

Ryan continued: “Matthew's knowledge of retail packaging and POS is second to none and I'm sure he will be key to growing our business and developing a multi-disciplined service specifically for the retail sector. Our creative design will be enhanced and supported by strategic thinking and research into customer behaviour."
