Stone soup creates new look for technology exhibition

Stone Soup has retained its Venturefest Yorkshire contract and, in the process, will also now provide the brand identity to the original Venturefest event in Oxford.

Stone Soup has created promotional material to the annual Venturefest Yorkshire event for the last three years, supplying all marketing collateral and visual communications for the exhibition.

In preparation for Venturefest Yorkshire's 2009 exhibition, Stone Soup proposed a complete revision of the event's brand identity: conceiving a logo which would incorporate the event's key messages of enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Stone Soup has now produced a simple typographical logo incorporating five bold

colours. The colours are also included in the accompanying symbol which is an abstract five 'branched' emblem.

All of Stone Soup's design and visual communications are now incorporated on to Venturefest Yorkshire's website, advertising and marketing collateral in preparation for the 2009 event.

Venturefest Oxford, the originator of the Venturefest concept, has also adopted the designs for use on all marketing collateral for Oxford's 2009 exhibition.

David Waller, chair of Venturefest Oxford says: "As the founders of Venturefest and owners of the name, we work in close partnership with the Yorkshire team and were highly impressed with the visual communications Stone Soup had provided for their 2009 event. Adopting the same visual identity for both events just felt the right way to evolve as collectively they will be stronger.

"Venturefest's primary concern is to promote enterprise and entrepreneurship and the new logo communicates this to all of our audiences. We strive to attract a wide range of exhibitors and delegates to each exhibition and I am confident that our new brand identity will help us achieve this."

The Venturefest events are annual exhibitions that profile and display the country's most inspiring science, technology and knowledge entrepreneurs - bringing over 150 exhibitors and over 2000 delegates to each region.
