For last nights National Television Awards, Merle created a series of new idents on a night when David Tennant, on accepting his award for Outstanding Drama Performance announced his departure from Doctor Who.

The show was broadcast on ITV1 with the idents 'paying tribute' to the concept of star quality before and after each commercial break.

The 13 new executions play out scenes using the Highland Spring bottle as a celebrity award winner being adulated by the audience.

Executions include a Highland Spring bottle on the red carpet being snapped by paparazzi, showered on stage with roses and kissed by fans.

Each ident features the voice of Scottish actor Brain Cox declaring "When you're this good, you should be rewarded."

Sally Stanley, marketing director of Highland Spring said: ""Our sponsorship of the National Television Awards is an excellent brand building opportunity for Highland Spring, allowing us to reach a prime time TV audience.

"The idents have been created to communicate Highland Spring's commitment to excellence. As the UK's leading produced brand of bottled water we work hard to protect the certified organic land from which our water is drawn ensuring the water is as pure as nature intended."
