The global marketing operations of Inver House Distillers is to be brought to Scotland in a move which will create 20 new jobs at the company’s base in Airdrie.

The £15million investment plans to centralise the marketing team in Scotland will see the team take responsibility for the development of the company’s portfolio of brands including Balblair and Old Pulteney.

The team will provide PR, sponsorship, advertising and design for the company’s brand campaigns.

Barrie Jackson, president of Inbev, said: This announcement is a great boost for our Scottish team, bringing the opportunity for them to diversify and build their skills in international markets. It’s extremely important that we invest in the highly skilled team that we have in Scotland and based upon the tremendous job they have done for our whisky brands, we now want to bring that skill base to the international business.”
