Weber Shandwick is to handle media and community relations activity ahead of the opening of Stirling Council’s £27.3million sports village The Peak.

The consultancy’s Glasgow office has been reappointed by Active Stirling to raise awareness of both the new complex and development as a whole.

Weber Shandwick will also work with the Active Stirling team on the management of the official opening ceremony of The Peak in April next year.

Nora Senior, managing director of Weber Shandwick Scotland said: "The Stirling Sports Village project is a hugely significant development in terms of the provision of top class sporting facilities in Scotland. The Peak complex is being delivered on time and on budget and we are delighted to be in a position to continue our relationship with Active Stirling and build on the success of the earlier activity. Being reappointed to work for a client is an excellent endorsement for our business and the high standard of work we deliver."
