A new lifestyle magazine is set to launch featuring environmental news and features using only digital technology.

Ecoforyou will be available in a digital page turn format avoiding the need for traditional printing’s use of energy and resources, making it a fully carbon neutral publication.

The free magazine, designed by Planet Ink Ltd will be available from 21 October to coincide with the Scottish Government’s ‘Go Greener’ environmental campaign and will utilise social network sites Facebook and Twitter as its main subscription areas.

Content will include news, interviews, video content, audio and flash based ads.

It is set for an estimated initial mail-out to 50,000 potential readers.

Gerry Cassidy, founding director, said: “We hope Ecoforyou will appeal not only to individual readers who care about green issues but businesses, campaigners and industry leaders too.”

Cassidy continued: “By making Ecoforyou available online and for free, we are inviting people to use it as part of addressing their own commitment to encouraging a sustainable lifestyle. They can easily email the magazine to their clients, colleagues and workforce and retain their green credentials.”
