England Sqaush has appointed Slam North to its national PR account.

The Manchester based agency, part of Weber Shandwick has been tasked with raising the profile of the sport as it undergoes a rebrand.

The rebrand will see England Squash become England Squash & Racketball next year as it looks to promote both sports.

Following its appointment, Slam will deliver an outreach programme and look to create clear cut through with profiling and sponsorship opportunities. It will also explore and engage with new audience groups through direct and online activity and be assisted by its press office.

Ric Coggins of Slam, said: “This is an exciting time for England Squash as seemingly lesser known sports are no taking centre stage since Team GB’s successful performances in Beijing. People more than ever before, are willing to give different sports a try and what better than to take to the court with a sport voted as ‘the world’s healthiest’ by Forbes magazine.
