Alcohol Awareness Week campaign created by The Leith Agency
The campaign to promote Scotland’s alcohol awareness week (AAW)will officially be launched on Friday, and has been created by The Leith Agency.
The awareness week is an initiative by the Scottish Government, alcohol industry, health services, voluntary sector and an array of supporters, including Scottish Rugby.
Scots will be urged to drink more responsibly and consider the effects that their drinking habits will have on their health and lifestyle.
To support the Government campaign, a website has been created by Whitespace which includes a week long drink less challenge.
Meanwhile, the campaign will run across different media platforms including poster sites, magaizines and newspapers.
Carling has given up full page adverts in Celtic and Rangers programmes and magazines to advertise the week while Tennents has given up a full page advert in the Scotland vs. Norway Programme on the last day of the week long event.
Lothian buses is displaying Alcohol Awareness Week posters in every bus in Edinburgh while Strathclyde Passenger Transport is displaying AAW posters in all Glasgow subway stations.
The Scottish Football League will also display the AAW banner on the front page of it website.
