Consolidated Communications Management has successfully pitched to handle the PR brief for NHS Health Scotland’s Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) immunisation programme. The programme will help prevent cervical cancer - the second most common cancer affectin

Health Scotland’s Chrissie Fairclough said the initiative “builds on Scotland’s successful cervical cancer screening programme”, and will be delivered, largely through schools, to girls aged 12-13 from September this year.

From a communications perspective, this necessitates a strong public awareness campaign to bolster understanding and acceptance from the targeted groups and their guardians.

Will Holt, director of Consolidated, commented; “This is a sensitive issue involving a diverse range of partners that needs careful handling and goes much further than traditional media relations.”
