Mark Hollinshead has been announced as the new managing director of Trinity Mirror’s Nationals division.

Hollinshead will combine the UK Nationals role with his previous position as managing director of the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail as he takes over from Richard Webb who is leaving the organization.

This is the first time that all five of the company’s national newspapers and digital portfolio of products will be overseen by one managing director.

More announcements will be made about the new management structure over the next few days.

Sly Bailey, chief executive of Trinity Mirror, said; “The new role will enable our National newspapers to fully embrace the changing media landscape. Bringing together the power of these great brands is in the best interest of our business and our customers.

“Richard has done a tremendous job to further the success of the UK Nationals during his time with the Group and he leaves with my thanks and best wishes for the future.”
