Manchester agency With Reflex Group has appointed former CD at The Raft, Mark Gass, as its new creative director.

WRG started the search for a new creative director after confirming in April that previous incumbent, Chris Fogg, was to leave the agency to work on a new venture.

Gass returns to the marketing scene after leaving his previous position as creative director at The Raft in amicable circumstances earlier this year. His successor at The Raft was Pravda co-founder Phil Howells.

Born in South Africa, Gass was executive creative director at TBWA\Durban where he oversaw the relaunch of Nivea in his homeland, and worked for brands including Dunlop, Fujitsu and SPAR.

He came to the UK in 2005 after moving across the TBWA\ network to its Tequlia operation in Manchester.

Karen Perry, deputy managing director at WRG, said: “We’re delighted to have Mark on board and he’s joining us at an extremely exciting time on the back of recent wins including Qatar Gas, Nortel and Entropay.”
