Mike Hoban, customer and brand marketing director has left Scottish Widows without a job to go to.

Hoban, who has been based in Edinburgh with Scottish Widows for the last three years, departed from his role last week.

While searching for a successor, Andy Briggs, managing director of marketing and distribution will take on the role.

A spokesperson for Scottish Widows, commented; "Mike has made an excellent contribution to Scottish Widows including the repositioning of the Scottish Widows brand, award winning advertising and employee communications, a radical overhaul of our approach to digital and marketing communications, all resulting in the highest ever recorded willingness to deal amongst customers. Mike’s leadership has ensured that we have very successfully activated our London 2012 Olympic sponsorship and Mike’s passion for customer insight has deepened and strengthened our knowledge of customers.

Hoban said, “I had always made it clear to Scottish Widows that I saw this as a three year project I’ve had a great time working in Edinburgh but it’s now time for me to return to London.”
