The Scottish Premier League has signed a new four year contract with satellite TV broadcaster, Setanta Sports worth £125million.

The Irish broadcaster has another two year to run with its current contract, previously worth £54.5million before the new partnership begins for the 2010/2011 season running until 2013/2014.

Lex Gold, executive chairman of the SPL said; “This will allow clubs to re-invest to make the Scottish game even stronger.”

As with the current contract, the deal means that 60 SPL matches will be broadcast live through Setanta.
