Lloyds TSB Scotland is to roll out a new campaign which aims at highlighting the client’s continuing support for Scotland’s cultural agenda.

The campaign builds on the ‘For The Journey’ theme, and will launch in the Scottish press on Friday 13 June, running until October 2008.

The new communications, specifically commissioned for the campaign, features a number of the Bank’s partners including Cricket Scotland, the National Galleries of Scotland, the Edinburgh International Festival and BAFTA Scotland.

A series of new communications from Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe Y&R, the agency behind our Black Horse train advertisements, will appear in the press, on posters and on bus sides throughout the summer. The campaign launch coincides with the Bank’s sponsorship of Vanity Fair: Portraits at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

Lisa Stephenson, director of marketing and communications, Lloyds TSB Scotland, said: “This Scotland-wide campaign emphasises that we are in good shape and here for our customers and partners through the current economic difficulties. We have worked closely with partners in the field of sports and arts for several years and these relationships remain fundamental to the way we reinvest in the communities in which we do business.

“With our business more than doubling in size since we embarked upon our first major sponsorship, ‘Rembrandt’s Women’, with the National Galleries of Scotland in 2000, we believe we derive greater benefits from working in partnership with the organisations we sponsor - be that increasing participation in cricket, encouraging more visitors to the Galleries or preserving the competitive edge of the Edinburgh International Festival.

“A successful nation needs its culture and we have every intention of continuing to provide our support.”

Roddy Smith, chief executive, Cricket Scotland, said: “Lloyds TSB Scotland is the largest and longest commercial partner Cricket Scotland has ever had. The relationship has grown well over the past five seasons. As a sponsor, the bank is very active and all the exploitation programmes which have been undertaken have delivered great results for cricket in Scotland. This season, support has extended to include the Tri Series in Aberdeen in July and the Scotland v England match in Edinburgh on 18th August. We are delighted that cricket will feature so prominently in this new campaign.”
