Cello Group, the company which owns The Leith Agency, Navigator and Stripe PR, has denied speculation published in The Telegraph that is actively seeking a buyer.

John Rowley, CEO of The Tangible Group, the Cello division that encompasses The Leith and Navigator said: “The claim in The Telegraph that Cello is currently up for sale is absolutely not the case; indeed the reverse is true in that we are still looking for bigger opportunities to expand the Cello Group.”

Meanwhile Tangible has also quelled concerns that its decision to move various operations into The Leith Agency building might lead to redundancies. Some staff pointed that there was limited space in the new office and some obvious overlap in terms of the roles it would house.

Richard Marsham (pictured left), managing partner of The Leith Agency, said that this was not the case.

“There are absolutely no plans for redundancies,” Marsham stated when asked about the speculation.

Meanwhile he announced that Sean Moore, creative director of Leith Direct would have overall control of the Tangible creative department, while Tony Bibby, former creative director of Navigator, would work alongside him. Gerry Farrell is responsibile for the full department, specifically advertising.
