McCann Erickson Manchester has unveiled a new campaign to raise awareness of the consequences of speeding while driving.

CSRP combines the work of seven local agencies including the Police, Local Authorities, Fire and Rescue Service, Highways Agency, and the Court Service to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on the county's roads.

The campaign, set to roll out across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington this month, will highlight the dangers of speeding by trying to make drivers realise what could happen to them if they are involved in a collision.

The four week campaign will use a billboard, online advertising on autotrader, leaflets, radio adverts and a touring crashed car to bring home to organisation's message.

Lee Murphy, Cheshire Safer Roads Partnership manager, said: “Our aim is to make drivers aware of the consequences of speeding and to raise awareness of safe driving practices. Sadly we all know people who have suffered the consequences of dangerous driving and we hope this campaign will ultimately reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on our roads.”
