Zero Design has completed the brand redesign and re-positioning for an independent brewery based in the Yorkshire Dales.

Dent Brewery brews six signature beers, for sale in pubs across the North of England, all of which have interesting names and a varied brand history.

With products like Rambrau, Kamakazi and Tow'd Tup, Dent has built up a strong local following which has even lead to its Kamakazi beer being available on-tap in the House of Commons.

Zero helped the brewer develop a strong professional core brand, and then pulled all of its branded products together under the new umbrella to strengthen the brewery's footing in the North of England.

Dent has always had a quirky approach to its branding, and Zero picked up on the Swaledale Sheep theme, developing it throughout the project.

This also helped tie in elements of their old branding with the new, without loosing sight of the brewery's quirky approach.

Lisa Jelley, MD of Zero, said: "On many levels this is the ultimate design project. We were given a free reign to develop both a corporate brand for the brewery itself, and also a set of consumer-facing brands in the products. We were also allowed the freedom to look at this from both a professional position, but also with a lot of humour and the added element of fun, that has always been intrinsic to their product branding."
