Scottish Investment Operations has appointed Perfect Storm to resurrect a campaign that was on the brink of being launched by 1576, as the agency went bust.

As a result of the receivership SIO claims that many of the assets put together for the drive were lost, including exhibition panels, brochures and artwork.

Said SIO chief executive Alan Thornburrow: “I have not received any of the original assets from 1576’s receivers and so have had to start re-creating the material at extra cost through a new agency.”

A spokesperson for Grant Thornton refused to comment on the story.
