Steve Hall has been appointed as the group executive creative director of Bray Leino, after Rhythmm was acquired by theMission-owned marketing group.

Hall will be responsible for developing the creative offering and will split his time between the firm’s Filleigh office, near Barnstable, and the Bristol base.

He revealed no redundancies have been made as a result of the deal, although said there were one or two people who stepped out of the business prior to the it going through.

“One or two people were nearing retirement and others have reduced their working days,” he said. “Being part of Bray Leino will offer those that are moving across more security and more opportunity.”

He added: “I was a reluctant MD for years and am looking forward to getting back to working on creative full-time. Once the acquisition was on, I hoping for Bray Leino. There’s a synergy with the two cultures and they’re very committed to training.”

For Bray Leino, Hall said the firm’s rich financial services pedigree - working with clients such as Axa and Legal & General - along with its creative strength, were key factors in what attracted the group to make an offer for Rhythmm.

The acquired team will assume a Bray Leino identity, although it is not yet clear whether the Rhythmm name will be retained as a brand for a specific offering it can provide for clients.
