Manchester-based creative agency Love has appointed Darren Hughes, from W&K Amsterdam, to the newly-formed role of creative head.

Hughes will be responsible for overseeing and managing the creative teams within the agency, and will be working on a number of specific accounts including Yorkshire Tea, Umbro International and Nike.

In his previous position as senior art director/designer at W&K Amsterdam, which he held for two years, Hughes worked on clients including Nike, Coca Cola and EA Games.

Before that, Hughes was senior art director at Albion, where he worked to build the company during its initial three years in business.

Hughes spoke of his regard for Love as one of the ‘new model’ agencies and said he was looking forward to bringing in his international experience.
