999 Design Group has designed and produced its second annual report for Digital UK – the independent organisation tasked with communicating and implementing the switch to digital TV across the UK.

Switchover began in October in Whitehaven, Cumbria, marking 2007 as a key year for Digital UK.

999 has built on the success of last year’s report by creating an informative, eye-catching design, which plays on the theme of ‘We love TV’ – demonstrating Digital UK’s passionate approach to the roll out of the initiative and the special role that television plays in the lives of the British viewing public.

The report aims to communicate clearly the progress that Digital UK is making, not only with the technical task but also in raising consumer awareness and understanding of switchover, which is thought to be the largest public information initiative ever carried out in the UK.

999 brought the report to life by commissioning photography of people enjoying or interacting with their TV, alongside facts and figures from research carried out by Digital UK and stills from vox pops in the Whitehaven area illustrating the region’s excitement at being the first area of the UK to switch to digital TV.
