Beattie Communications has announced that it is to open a new office in Edinburgh in order to strengthen its status in the Capital.

The new office, on Morrison Street is set to open “imminently” and will be the base to eight members of staff some relocating from other offices, according to Chris Gilmore director of the PR company’s Glasgow office.

“We’ve always had a presence in Edinburgh,” explained Gilmore. “There’s obviously a market in Edinburgh for a Beattie presence and we’re keen to take advantage of that through a proper office.”

Gilmore went on to explain that both local and national accounts will be run out of the new Edinburgh office.

Meanwhile, Beattie has also announced that the recent winner of the CIPR’s young communicator of the year award, Julie Forsythe, will join from DADA as an account manager.
