Global Brands appoints Brahm to handle PR

Drinks company Global Brands has appointed Leeds-based Brahm PR to handle consumer and trade PR across its product range, including flagship brand, VK Vodka Kick.

Brahm will be instigating national campaigns for the vodka specialist’s key brands, which include Corky’s vodka shots and Polish premium vodka, Sobieski. Brahm has also been tasked to provide full PR support for Global Brands’ licensed beers, Salitos, Carib lager and Viru.

In addition, the agency has been handed the brief of raising the corporate profile of Global Brands in the business press, and will also be helping Global exploit the PR value from its significant number of sports and lifestyle sponsorships, which include: T4 on the Beach, Kiss FM, British Superbikes, The Notting Hill Carnival, Wakestock and the MSA British Gravel Rally Championship.

Tim Downs, group account director at Brahm, said: “They are a bit of a dream client for everyone here because their brands are fun and have bags of personality with some really strong sponsorships and associations attached.

“Our immediate aim will be to grow their presence in the national and lifestyle press whilst maintaining awareness in the key trade publications. Over time we’ll develop and deliver the national brand campaigns and we’ll be promoting the Global Brands success story to the national business pages.”
