Prego given citizenship & fairtrade brief
Hull Museums has appointed Prego to help educate children about global inter-dependence, citizenship and the importance of Fairtrade products.
Prego has developed an interactive web resource for the museum, which will launch at the end of January 2008. It will be used in teacher-led sessions across Yorkshire, in line with the Curriculum.
Hull Museums tasked Prego to work from the initial concept and strategy stages through to creative executions, copywriting, animation and production.
Esther Lockwood, project officer for the Global Citizenship Learning Programme at Hull Museums, said: “Fair Trade products are of huge importance for disadvantaged producers in the developing world. However, this is a tough message to communicate to young children, and the concept of global citizenship can be difficult for young minds to comprehend.”
