The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) has confirmed that twelve agencies have been shortlisted to pitch for a place on its design roster. The NWDA is remaining tight lipped about the identities of the final twelve, whom they advise have not all yet been informed of their shortlisting. However the shortlist will be whittled down to a final six who will be appointed to form the NWDA’s panel for a fixed tenure of three years.

The announcement of the identities of the final six will be made in the second week of January 2008.

The NWDA leads the regeneration of North West England by providing a link between business and government. Work on the panel will require the agencies to undertake advertising, PR, events, press and advertising on behalf of the NWDA.

It is understood that the final twelve were selected form a longlist of over 100 agencies

“They will be shortlisted down to a panel of six, and it will be that six who get the opportunity; and the work that comes through will be put to them to pitch for,” a spokesman for the NWDA confirmed.
