Scott Wylie, client services director at Frame, has left the advertising agency to join start-up media firm Purple Dog TV.

Purple Dog has secured a contract with First Bus Glasgow to install a new television system that will screen a mixture of visual content and advertising.

Wylie will take up the role of media sales director at the new firm, which has received £1m in backing from a consortium of Glasgow businessmen.

Wylie will now return to his roots having spent the last two years working for the Glasgow-based advertising agency. Prior to his appointment, Wylie was previously head of Scottish sales at Viacom.

The new venture will see 150 First buses in Glasgow installing the 20 inch flat-screens, which will also offer audio.

The new media will launch early next year, and the team already has plans afoot to roll out the system across the UK.

Purple Dog Productions has also been launched to ensure clients can create commercials to run on the medium.

Speaking of his move, Wylie said: “Chances like this to be a part of something new don’t come around very often and if there is anything that the past 10 months at Frame have taught me is to seize the moment.”
