Feather Brooksbank has been tasked with handling stv’s media buying, as The Union’s new television promos and press campaign for stv launches.

The new campaign will see the company embarks on its first brand campaign featuring its ‘S’ logo.

Running for six weeks through to December, four on screen brand promos will aim to promote the company’s broadcasting output using four words, ‘Dazzling’, ‘Riveting’, ‘Newsworthy’, and ‘Diverse’.

The promos were produced by Lucid, while the graphics were created by animation company, Graphical House, as well as stv's own in-house graphics department.

Stv has also appointed the Glasgow team of Feather Brooksbank to secure press advertising for the campaign.

Feather Brooksbank’s Glasgow based team won the contract after a competitive pitch, and will work with stv on negotiating and booking advertising space across all media for stv and stv.tv.

Gordon Brown, marketing director at stv, said: “As a brand, Scottish TV and Grampian TV have been around for a long time.

“Stv as a unified brand is only 18 months old so one of the tasks for the brand is to build the blue ‘s’ into the most recognisable media brand in Scotland, that’s what we’re about and what we’re trying to achieve.”

Brown went onto say that the company had debated whether to spend money on brand promotion or programme promotion before launching the campaign.

This year sees the fiftieth anninversary of STV.
