Scottish Advertising Award winners revealed

Friday night saw The Union named as Scotland's most creative agency when it walked away with 12 awards from The Scottish Advertising awards.

The agency's haul included The Chairman's Award for the Quantum Recruitment 'Russian Dolls' advert, Best Press Advertisement for its Rebus adverts and Best Online Advertisement or Campaign for Project Scotland.

Newhaven Communications was named Advertising Agency of the Year at this year's Scottish Advertising Awards.

The team scooped seven awards; including Best Viral and Best Low Budget advert with 'Pigeon' for Powerleague and Best Television Campaign for Tennent's 'Capacity' advert.

Meanwhile, The Leith Agency won four awards on the night, including the Chairman's Grand Prix for Irn Bru's 'The Snowman' advert.

Client of the Year went to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which works with Guy Robertson Partnership.

Managing directors of media company Feather Brooksbank, Giles Brooksbank and Stuart Feather were awarded the Lifetime Achievement award.

This year's Scottish Advertising Awards celebrated its 21st anniversary by including a few special categories.

Irn Bru picked up Best Brand from 21 Years, while The Leith Agency picked up several awards for its work with Irn Bru as well as being named Most Influential Agency from 21 Years. Leith also won Best Television Advert for 21 Year with its Tennent's 'Galore' advert, Best Radio Commercial for 21 Years with 'Furry Liquid' for AG Barr and Best Poster for 'Bitches'.

Meanwhile Angus Meldrum was named as the Most Influential Marketer while John Denholm was voted as the Most Influential Person.
