Liverpool’s Finch Partnership has been appointed by budget fashion retailer Ethel Austin to administer its autumn advertising campaign, an account the brand confirmed carried a £1million spend.

“Finch have been commissioned as our full service agency, certainly for the autumn of this year,” a spokesman from Ethel Austin confirmed.

It is believed that Finch won the account following a four-way pitch, and it is understood that Finch’s brief is to initiate a through-the-line campaign that will refresh the brand and establish it in southern parts of the UK.

Finch director Tim Crutchley welcomed the win, saying he planned to take the brand onto TV during November, targeting mothers with young children. The campaign begins prior to November.

“We are going to work very closely with them, with a particular emphasis on the shop window, taking them throughout the stores,” he said.

The chain confirmed that Finch’s appointment will be reviewed in January.
