Duncan Slater, business development director at Leeds-based Poulters, is set to leave the agency in November for a new role at Cheadle-based design agency, Origin.

Slater joined Poulters two years ago and has helped bring in a series of high-profile clients, including Miele, Manchester United and Vodkat. It is also believed that the agency has landed the £2million Thresher account, although the agency has yet to announce the appointment.

Slater is well known on the north west scene, having worked for both BJL and CheethamBell JWT, and lives in the Manchester area. The move will see him reunite with former CBJWT head of design Mark Bottomley, Origin’s founder and creative director.

Slater’s role is understood to involve raising the profile of Origin, while developing new and existing accounts.

He was unavailable for comment but will be writing exclusively for The Drum in November about the new role.
