BJL has launched a new advertising campaign to promote British Airways\' services from London City Airport.

The campaign primarily targets frequent business travellers, reminding them that the airline flies from an alternative London airport to Heathrow and Gatwick.

A spokesperson for BJL said: “By giving iconic London landmarks a British Airways twist, the campaign highlights the proximity of London City to the Square Mile, Canary Wharf and central London. Both Tower Bridge and Big Ben have been given a make over. Traffic across Tower Bridge was held at a standstill while the bridge was photographed at the precise angle required to transform it into an airport runway. An impressively large crane was needed to get the shot of Big Ben, which has been morphed into an air traffic control tower.”

Media for the campaign will include sites in the airport itself, in specific Docklands press titles, within DLE stations and on major arterial roads in and around Canary Wharf. The activity aims to target travellers during their business and commuting day.
