Dempsey's replacement announced

Roger Goldie has been appointed to the post of Chief Marketing Manager, vacated by Chris Dempsey last June. Goldie’s appointment follows an external recruitment competition.

He recently joined the Government on a short term contract and earlier this year worked as a communications co-ordinator in support of the Youth Justice Improvement programme.

Before his contract roles at the Scottish Government, Roger was Digital Marketing Director at Civic. Previous to that he was with Newhaven Communications (2002 – 06) and The Leith Agency (1995 – 2002).

His earlier background in advertising includes posts at Marr Associates, Hall Advertising, and Ogilvy & Mather.
