The Marketeer Association, a collaboration intended to draw attention to the work of agencies outside of London, is set to launch its first campaign.

The ‘Meet Your Neighbours’ poster campaign has been devised by marketeer members Dinosaur, and will be flanked by the imminent launch of the Association’s website and viral promotion.

Dinosaur’s campaign aims to make businesses more aware of the talent on their doorstep when tasking agencies, and not necessarily to view London as the media be all and end all.

The Manchester-based agency took on the brief of promoting regional agencies earlier in the year after other Marketeer Association members had contributed their own ideas and designs for the campaign.

Funnel Creative is responsible for the campaign’s web presence in the form of a micro-site, which will provide links to the homepages of each of the Association’s members.

Since its inception five years ago, the Association’s membership has swelled and it has hosted guest lectures from key marketing industry figures at its regular meetings. It was from these meetings that the idea for a campaign was devised.

Chairperson, Nicky Unsworth, said the campaign is “focused on finding the perfect match for your business. Sometimes this is on your own doorstep.”

She added: “What is really evident is the skill set and talent among the group. There are some great agencies producing great work across a broad range of disciplines, but because in many cases they are so busy creating great work they aren’t necessarily getting the recognition they deserve. This campaign is the start of a process whereby we can showcase great agencies, and clients can begin to select based on more complete knowledge.”
