Greg Dyke, former director-general of the BBC, will broadcast some of his own experiences of the business community as guest speaker at this year’s Business Lunch, held on Friday 9th November by The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice at Glasgow City Chambers.

During his 30 years experience in the industry, Greg has held some of the most senior positions in the broadcasting and media world including group chief executive of London Weekend Television and, after the Granada take-over of LWT, he joined Pearson Television as chief executive.

He led the consortium which created Channel 5 and became its first chairman before becoming director-general at the BBC where he spent four years. During this time he started four new digital TV channels, five new digital radio channels, opened two new BBC regions, launched the BBC’s interactive TV services and helped to create Freeview, a new free to air digital platform.

Sponsored by long-standing supporters of the Hospice, Campbell Dallas, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, the event is one of the Glasgow charity’s most popular events and has become a premier date for the corporate calendar.

Hosted by well-known Scottish broadcaster and corporate presenter Angus Simpson, guests will enjoy drinks in The Picture Gallery before indulging a lunch in the Banqueting Hall.

The event runs from 12 noon until 2.30pm at the city Chambers in Glasgow.

Tickets are £35 each / £350 for a table of ten and can be purchased by contacting Judi Farrell on 0141 429 5599 judi.farrell@ppwh.org.uk or through the website www.ppwh.org.uk.
