Third Eye Design has been appointed to create and implement the global branding,

marketing and advertising for Santiago Calatrava’s Chicago Spire.

The Chicago Spire will be a 2,000 foot tall landmark tower with 150 floors containing 1,193 unique and premium residences. It will be the tallest building in the USA and the tallest exclusively residential building in the world.

The global marketing campaign begins this month evolving through the life of the construction which is set for completion in 2011.

The campaign will include a global print and outdoor advertising campaign, digital experiences, 3D visualizations and a major international travelling exhibition early next year. As well as that, there will be an experiential sales centre in Chicago, print literature and an integrated web campaign.

Mark Noe, managing director of Third Eye Design explained that Third Eye was invited to pitch against five European and American agencies, before a two way final pitch against a London team.

The original identity, web and digital materials for the campaign were produced at the Glasgow office.

“The New York presence definitely helped get us on the list,” said Noe who added that a new, west coast US office is planned for 2009.
