Glasgow-based new start Liquorice Media has denied poaching a client list which includes Harlequin Leisure, Beanscene, the Water of Leith Restaurant and the Kitchin, from Blueprint Media as reported in the Scottish press.

Graham Lironi, co founder of Liquorice with Susan Christie, who both left Blueprint to set up the full-service public relations consultancy agency, points out that Blueprint had already lost the accounts of its four former clients.

Lironi confirmed that, contrary to reports, Liquorice is not at loggerheads with Blueprint, and the initial client base does not represent an “exodus” from the agency.

Lironi also denied press reports that they were in a tug-of-business with Blueprint over Charan Gill and the Harlequin leisure group.

“Charan’s relationship with Blueprint was on a project by project basis. It wasn’t a retained account. The rest were former clients we had taken to Blueprint.”
