ScottishPower has denied that it is looking to appoint a new below-the-line agency, despite recent reports.

It had been speculated that ScottishPower was set to review its direct marketing account as the electrical giant geared-up to boost its marketing output. Edinburgh-based Navigator Response Advertising has held the business for four years.

However, the electricity giant has denied such reports, saying that “it is business as usual.” Jane Cannon, head of retention campaigning at ScottishPower said: “It’s just not true...we’re absolutely happy with Navigator and we are not looking to review at this time.”

In June 2006, Newhaven won the £4.5m advertising account in a four-way pitch, beating incumbent The Bridge and Legas Delaney.
