Expansion plans for Film City Glasgow are set to transform the former Govan Town Hall into the new focal point for Scotland’s creative industry.

Based at the Digital Media Quarter at Pacific Quay, Film City Glasgow already provides editing and production from the refurbished town hall and has now unveiled ambitious plans to create more space within building for media and creative companies. Tiernan Kelly, Film City Glasgow operations manager, said: “We are looking forward to the progression of the next phase of these state-of-the-art facilities as we entice new companies to the Digital Media Quarter.”

One such company is thought to be Open, the new ad agency launched by former Bridge creative director Liz O’Connor. She will join Sigma Films, Savalas Sound Studios and Serious Facilities.
