Manchester-based Tangerine PR has expanded by opening a new office in central London, which will be run by Heather Butcher. She will take the role of associate director with the primary objectives of increasing Tangerine’s profile and developing a client base in the south.

“It gives us access to the whole of the south and makes a huge difference for us. We are looking at the experience we have and targeting a number of clients at the moment,” she said.

“Tangerine is well established in the north west with an excellent client base and reputation and I am very excited about extending its reach in the south. The company is passionate about its clients and the work it undertakes on their behalf is focused on helping clients achieve business results. I firmly believe in Tangerine’s philosophy and it’s full steam ahead to duplicate the successful formula in London”

The London branch is intended to operate as a partner office, not as a branch, and Heather plans to grow the southern operation to rival the Manchester office in scale.

“There is an advantage of having the two offices. We can cover more ground. It means we will have a second base. There is room for us to move around the country now, which is great,” she said.

“It’s going from strength to strength. We have plans to grow as we gain more clients. We are hoping in a few years time to equal the size of our Manchester operation.” Butcher has spent the last three years working with the likes of Del Monte and McCains. The agency has announced its first London client will be Emmy UK, while a new business push is expected.
