Stagecoach Metrolink, the Manchester tram network, has awarded its four-year £1.2million contract to CBS Oudoor.

CBS Outdoor will manage advertising sites on the Bury to Altrincham and Eccles lines, which consists of interior sites, window advertising, exterior opportunities as well as significant 4-sheet poster sites at tram stops.

The Metrolink attracts approximately 55,000 passengers a day and 20.1 million passengers a year.

Jason Cotterrell, commercial director at CBS Outdoor, said: “With 20 million passenger journeys and routes through the heart of a booming and growing city, this is an exciting addition to our rail and bus portfolio in the North West.”

CBS Outdoor works with a number of tram operators, including Sheffield Supertram, Croydon Tram and the Midland Metro. In Manchester, the firm manages advertising on the city’s buses as well as sites at railway stations through its Northern Rail and First TPE franchise.
