VisitScotland Borders has awarded the contract for the design and production of its core promotional brochures to Shaw Marketing and Design.

The contract was awarded on the basis of Shaw’s experience in tourism marketing both nationally and internationally.

Gayle Skelly at VisitScotland Borders, said of the appointment: “The change in design agency is a reflection on where VisitScotland Borders is going. This is an exciting time for tourism, with great opportunities for the Borders to tap into new markets.

Shaw will now be designing the tourism body’s breaks and accommodation guide, Essential Guide, bedroom pack and golf guide.

Shaw has also recently completed projects in the Borders, including the 7stanes mountain biking trails for Forestry Commission Scotland and the Classic Car Touring brochure for VisitScotland.

Teviot previously handled the business, winning the Borders tourism account in 2004.
