Sainsbury’s is launching the first in a series of new advertising campaigns to promote the range of financial services products offered by Sainsbury’s Bank, the group’s joint venture with HBOS plc.

The campaign, which will focus on the firm’s Internet Saver product, will run on TV, radio, online and in the press, with PHD North tasked with planning and buying the offline media. Manchester-based Universal McCann is understood to have handled the online aspects of the activity.

PHD North last worked with Sainsbury’s financial services division on the Little Bill insurance campaign.

Lorraine Jones at PHD North, said: “Financial services is an increasingly cluttered sector, so building relevance and trust through media represents our key media opportunity.”

Meanwhile, PHD North has handled the media planning and buying for Orangina’s new £1million campaign. The ‘Shake it to Wake it’ activity has been created by Manchester-based BDH\\TBWA.
