The Highways Agency has joined up with construction and transport consultants Faber Maunsell, to launch a new website, which has been created by Leeds-based digimedia and thirty3above in London.

The site, www.accessteamvalley.co.uk, aims to encourage and inform people in the Team Valley area to look towards alternative methods of transport, reducing the amount of traffic in the local area, and around the A1.

The site informs people about alternative modes of transport available to and from the Team Valley area.

Tools and features on the site include a cost calculator, which shows individuals how much money they could save if they stopped driving to work; a car share scheme, where individuals can sign up and select car shares in their local area; and a journey planning tool allowing individuals to search and select various journey types.

MD of digimedia, Steve Baker said: “We hope that this project is one of many schemes across the UK, engineered to help traffic reduction. This has been a great project to work on and we hope the people who frequent Team Valley find it a useful information tool.”
