Kerrang! 105.2, the EMAP-owned West Midlands radio station, has teamed up with Staffordshire University as it aims to promote its summer of festival themed programming.

With the aid of SMRS, the university’s media agency, the campaign will be a combination of airtime, creative, sponsorship and promotions.

The campaign will begin with the Kerrang! and Staffordshire University branded promotion - the ‘Festival Freeload’ - which will give information on lineups and goings-on behind the scenes.

The rock music station will also be distributing dual branded wristbands with ‘Access all Areas’ passes which will drive listeners to the Staffordshire University microsite.

This new deal is a part of a two year relationship between Emap Advertising using Kerrang! radio and Staffordshire University.

Deborah Cooke, head of marketing and communications for Staffordshire University, said: “This is the most significant development in our two year partnership with Kerrang! Radio, and the most innovative and exciting one year.”
